| A remembrance or tribute gift to the Oregon Trail Chapter
of the American Red Cross can honor the memory of a friend
or loved one, celebrate a special occasion (birthday, anniversary
or other significant event), show appreciation for an act
of kindness or just say thank you. |
When this type of gift is given, the Red Cross will send the family or honored
individual a card in your name saying a gift has been made. The
amount of the gift is kept confidential, but will appear on the
acknowledgment you receive for your records and tax purposes.
Remembrance and tribute gifts are popular because your expression of caring
helps someone else in the community. In the event of a death of
a relative, you may wish to place the following message in the obituary
or funeral notice which provides a welcome opportunity for friends
to make a meaningful and thoughtful remembrance:
The family suggests a memorial donation be made to the Oregon Trail Chapter
of the American Red Cross.
