SERVICE TO ARMED FORCES

SAF delivers essential Red Cross services to active duty, National Guard, and Reserve Members. SAF, through the Get To Know Us Before You Need Us Program, helps community based military members and their families cope with separation and other special situations related to service in the armed forces.

Red Cross helps local military families with urgent problems by providing communication services (emergency messages) between members of the Armed Forces and their families. It also provides referrals for emergency financial assistance (military aid societies). Both of these services can be accessed through our 24-hour call center at: 1-888-737-4306.

Last year the Oregon Trail Chapter assisted with approximately 800 emergency communications and financial assistance referrals.
