Program Support Opportunities

Program Support Services volunteers may be unable, due to conflicting work and family commitments, to respond at a moments notice, but can still provide equally valuable support services to the disaster response activities of the Chapter.

Review the Groups & Activities chart and narrative to see if you can find something that interests you, then contact the appropriate Activity Lead to offer assistance.

Once you make a commitment to help out with a particular task, remember that other volunteers are counting on you to complete your part of the job. Get clear instructions about time, place, and job contact, and then appear as agreed.

Info Below: Contact Options | Who can participate | Activity Support Opportunities | Local Response Support Opportunities

Contact Options:

  • During your Local Operations orientation, obtain the contact name and number of the Activity Lead in the activity for which you are interested in providing support services
  • Call the ES staffing office to get a contact name (503-280-1495)
  • Make an appointment with the Workforce Planning and Acquisition Activity Lead to discuss Support options

Who can participate? All these jobs, and many more, are available

    • to volunteers who are unable to commit to an immediate, unscheduled, disaster response, and
    • to volunteers who are looking for opportunities during the periods when they are not actively responding to a disaster.
