Portland Area iSold It Stores Launch Fund-Raising Drive for Hurricane Katrina Relief
Stores Waive Commission to Raise Money for the American Red Cross
PORTLAND, Ore. September 7, 2005 – iSold It of Greater Portland, the nations leading eBay drop-off store, is supporting the American Red Cross by hosting a fund-raiser.
Customers and supporters are invited to bring in merchandise to sell on eBay and designate the net proceeds from the sale to go directly to the American Red Cross National Disaster Relief Fund . In an effort to help the American Red Cross' Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, Portland area stores are waiving their commission fees for this fund-raiser.
We understand that many people in Oregon and Southwest Washington want to help, but are not sure how. Everyone has an item somewhere in their basement or garage that would sell on eBay, Steve Shields, Principal, iSold It Tigard. Bring it to us and let iSold It do the work, it doesn't cost consumers anything and could not be easier. iSold It stores throughout the Greater Portland area will be accepting donated items with an expected auction value of $30 or more on behalf of the American Red Cross from September through October 2005.
