Early Evening Residential Fire Damages Home
PORTLAND, Ore. – July 11, 2007– American Red Cross Oregon Trail Chapter disaster team volunteers responded to an early evening single family home fire on North Star Road in Banks. Two adults and a medium size dog were affected. Red Cross disaster team volunteers assisted the affected family and pet with temporary housing, meals, and other related services.
The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disaster and helps people prevent, prepare and respond to emergencies. Oregon Trail Chapter Red Cross volunteers respond to residential fires and other disasters every 40 hours on average. All Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from Oregonians.
